Biblical Perspective

 

The American Christian Caucus (ACC) exists as an organization founded by senior pastors and godly political strategists for senior pastors and their churches. The church has abandoned the political arena as an area of society that is considered anathema for pastors to speak into. We believe that we are called to permeate every aspect of culture as Christians. Jesus said we are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14). If there are limitations to any aspect of society in this, the Bible knows nothing of it.

 

The role of the ACC is to get Christians engaged in the political arena. There are many aspects to being salt and light in the political world, so ACC has many facets. First, there is pastoral engagement. In getting other pastors involved, more congregants can be encouraged to get involved. Second, voter registration is a vital part of the ACC’s role. Our desire is for more Christians to vote their values than ever before. Third, the ACC focuses on education and training. Being effective as salt and light requires an understanding of the political process. Fourth, the ACC exists to engage in grassroots operations to further the cause of Jesus Christ in this great country by coordinating efforts to advocate for sound biblical policy and to elect candidates that would embrace those policies.
